With over 16 years of Public Accounting experience, Alina completed the last 6 years of her career at BDO in Midtown Atlanta. As a Non-profit Tax Manager, she provided tax compliance and consulting services to charitable organizations and higher education institutions throughout the country. While at BDO Alina was afforded the opportunity to facilitate firm initiatives and provide strategic and innovative organizational solutions to key executives within the non-profit industry. Her experience at BDO was instrumental in discovering her gift to identify operational deficiencies and provide relevant and cost-effective solutions for improved structure, systems and processes resulting in increased efficiency and realization.
Concurrently, while employed at BDO, Alina began her pursuit of a Master of Divinity degree at Columbia Theological Seminary which she obtained in May 2020. Immediately after completing her MDiv program she entered the Learning, Leadership & Organization Development Doctor of Education (EdD) program at the University of Georgia.
Alina also currently serves as an Associate Minister at the historic Providence Missionary Baptist Church (PMBC) under the leadership of her Pastor, Rev. Damon P. Williams, PhD and First Lady, Rev. Khalia Williams, PhD. At PMBC she is a leader on the ministerial team serving as a teacher in the Christian Education ministry and assisting her Pastor in an administrative capacity with various organizational and operational needs. Alina is also consistently called upon by Rev. Williams to preach, teach, and lead in his absence. Prior to joining PMBC Alina has served at various churches in a range of capacities including Spiritual Formation Director, Praise and Worship Director, Intercessory Prayer Team leader, Young Adult leader and Finance Team leader.
Through her ministry and professional gifts Alina is often an invited guest speaker, preacher or teacher in both corporate and religious settings. She provides a unique blend of faith, leadership and financial expertise that many organizations find refreshing and necessary. Through MCS Alina is answering a divine calling to find the perfect intersection between her education, professional experience, and gifts. It is her heart’s desire to empower organizations to increase their capacity to carry out their respective missions through strategic planning, effective organizational management, and financial prudence.
